Hi,
have you thought porting this plugin to FlatPress or developed to the same project? it’s a blog without a database very light with great acceptance in the future.
thanks

I’ll look into that when I’m free….

Hi Gautam
I need to ask something about this plugin. Is it possible to have the share-bar only appear in the first post of each topic? I see there’s an option for displaying it on the first post, but I don’t know if it makes it *only* for that post.
Thanks for your awesomely great plugins.

That is what it does right now.

Not to worry – I see it does it automaticlly now.
Thanks for this plugin – it’s just awesome!

Hi Gautam,
Tried to activate Social It plugin on discussions.touchreviews.net and got the following error in the admin panel:
Warning: require_once(includes/bookmarks-data.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: Not a directory in /home/touch13/public_html/discussions/my-plugins/social-it/social-it.php on line 68
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘includes/bookmarks-data.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/touch13/public_html/discussions/my-plugins/social-it/social-it.php on line 68
Using bbpress 1.0.2
Any suggestions?

Please download the plugin again and upload it to your servers. The errors indicate that you don’t have the files

Thanks Gautam, it worked this time.
Earlier I had installed the plugin using the “Plugin Browser” plugin for bbPress so I guess it missed installing some files.
So as you suggested I uploaded the plugin folder manually using ftp and it’s perfect now.
A bit off topic: I tried to install _CK_’s Topic Icon plugin but it doesn’t work. Are you aware of any known issues with that plugin and my bbPress version 1.0.2
Thanks!

That plugin works fine for me on bbPress 1.0.2 – I don’t know why it isn’t working for you. By the way, you may want to try out bb Mystique (still in beta) theme.

bb Mystique looks great Gautam! I was looking at it yesterday while reading your posts on bbPress forum
I just set up the discussion board for my website and just trying to find and fix all the plugins I need and will certainly look into bb Mystique too. Thanks for the heads up.
I think bbPress really requires some important SEO and facebook connect plugins . In order to grow a forum it is important that users are able to connect with existing social networking profiles rather than create yet another account.
It’s great to see that the development around bbPress is gaining momentum again. Hope this continues even after bbPress 1.1 and further.

Thanks! Regarding facebook connect, I think there was a plugin but not fully functional.

Gautam thanks for the tip regarding the Facebook plugin for bbPress. The developer seems to have not updated the plugin to work with the facebook profile images and said that the code still has some wordpress code which needs to be cleaned.
Do you have any plans on uploading your own fully functional version of a facebook connect plugin to the bbPress plugin directory so that the community could benefit from it?

I am thinking to stop developing for bbPress standalone version and instead put my focus on the plugin version..
